Joy founded Joyous Luxurious in London with a simple but powerful belief: every woman deserves to feel beautiful, confident, and celebrated in her own skin — and her own hair.
What began as a small passion project has grown into a thriving UK-based luxury haircare brand, loved by thousands of women across the UK and beyond. The journey from dream to reality
It started with a conversation.
Joy had spent years perfecting her natural hair routine, experimenting with protective styles, and searching for products that truly delivered on their promises. Like so many women with natural hair, she knew the frustration all too well — the breakage, the dryness, the endless cycle of products that underdelivered. She also knew something else: haircare should feel like self-care, not a chore.

Her husband, a natural encourager and business partner from day one, helped turn that vision into something real.
